16 fucking FD drivers..........wow. Also Miki Ryuji has won a d1 championship, so what does that mean. Kazama should be there as well as Taniguchi, im trying to think who else has won a past D1 title

I love how they are only giving international title holders a spot, yet they are allowing the top 16 FD drivers. Let MSC bring some to the event and see what the fuck is up.

I hate Vaughn Gittin I won't go for that reason. They should have a limit on horsepower so his car wouldn't slide itself.

they should have a limit on the US drivers that are making up about half of a "world challenge" roster. I really hate mainstream bullshit.

You're insane, JR's one of the coolest, nicest cats on the planet. Don't hate on the fact that he and his sponsors have a TON of "development" (money) in to his car. That's what happens when you win a lot. And I've been watching him since he was in his old white S13 (I was at the drivers search he and Forseberg got their licenses in 04, when they moved into Lindsey's garage), there's no lack of skills in that camp.

;)

Tony Angelo is lacking a lot and he is from their camp. I just don't like the fact on the straight away before the entry he pulls like 20 cars on everyone else so they have to drive stupid to catch him and end up crashing.

the is like the old list. That was the old top 16 drivers for FD, its changed since the past two events.

plus it is the Pro-Am Finals as well.

^Seen Vaughn in person and he is a good person, and by the statement your making wouldnt Sam Hubinette be in that sam category? First year of FD he wins in a viper competition coupe and then wins again in a viper two years later. I remember when there was a huge controversy at FD Atlanta when Sam went against Taka's AE86 and would get owned in the corners yet Sam would basically drag race down the hill. Sure Vaughn has alot of power in his car and all but in truth its a heavier car than any of the S-chassis. Another fact of that matter is that he stands up to his motto of balls out drift with the NEVER LIFT THROTTLE approach.

IMO though I think Tony Angelo could put more focus on his skill instead of living partying and putting drifting second. The reason he is a lackluster performer is because of this I believe. I just don't think that he is as committed as say Forsberg or Vaughn.

I don't like Sam either. I don't even think Failmula D is on the same level as MSC or EDC. The United States approach to motorsports on the Pro level fails as a whole. Its all about the money and not about the sport. Brake checking, insane horsepower, all the other bullshit in FD shows you how much our approach to motorsports sucks. Grassroots FTMFW!

Ok. Ok. When D1 had the World Championshipa, it was a bunch of the D1 guys, like 16 FD guys, and 2-3 competitors of each D1 section (New Zealand, UK, and Malaysia). This isn't much different, so don't complain.

As for Vaughn Gittin Jr. He's a nice guy (from what I've seen and heard), a great driver, and a hell of a personality in the world of drifting. He deserves what he has. Stop hating.

Onto Tony Angelo. Statistically, he is not a great driver, but we all know FD is biased to the big names, so statistics lie. I've seen Tony in videos, and to me, he is one of the best guys out there, seriously. Good speed, good lines, and nearly full lock all the time. If you don't believe me when I say Formula D is biased, fine, but I know Tony Angelo has the ability to kick Samuel Hubinette's ass.

Taka Aono, well yes, he crashes a lot, but this year, nearly every time I look at the unseeded qualifiers, he is near the top. Then again, Formula D ranks him out. Not fair in my eyes. Also, Taka has some amazing foot work when he is driving, possibly the best in FD, but FD sucks cock like that.

Toshiki Yoshioka qualified #2 in the unseeded charts this past weekend, but wasn't running in the Top 16. Umm, WTF? Manabu Orido (I love that nigga, no homo) qualified 8th in the unseeded charts, and he got to play in the Top 16. WHAT THE MOTHERFUCK?

Complaining about so many FD drivers vs. other series drivers at the World Championship is not the issue. The issue to me is how gay FD is. Sadly, it's all we got in the States.

You have seen Tony Angelo videos they aren't going to show all the times he fucks up out there on the track. Watch the live streams of FD events he isn't anything to brag about. Vaughn Gittin doesn't need that much horsepower and its unfair when the guys with all that horsepower leave the follow car by 20 cars before they even hit the first corner.

I dunno, what I've seen from Angelo is pretty damn good. Maybe we've seen different shit, but I know what I saw.

Guy, there are other cars making more power than Vaughn Gittin's car. He's making 650 whp right now. I've seen 800 whp from Daigo Saito on his JZX100 in D1GP. Toru Inose had an S14 making 750 whp. Sam Hubinette's Viper makes 825 hp at the crank, at least 700 whp. So Vaughn's car is not too fast compared to some other cars out there. You might not need the power to drift, but this is competition, not scratching your nuts. If you want to win, you gotta bring your shit.

N/A AE86's are having a hard time winning because of all this, and I still don't say it's unfair. You gotta win by skill, and stop crying some other guy has a Top Fuel Dragster engine and you can't beat him because you got 300 hp. Just go out there and kill it no matter what.

BTW, Toru Inose also had a 1000 PS (about 960 hp) Aristo. Who the fuck cares?

Vaughn Gittin isnt that much, hes now N/A. Theres honestly quite a few cars that have more than he does. He also has one of the biggest cars too

I saw on video Yoshioka crashed when he tried to qualify for top 16 noone has anything against him.
Taka Aono should stop and give his seat to some other driver. After so many years he should have something to show.
So the unseeded and seeded list you saw was for top 32 not for top 16.
