ok so heres the issue im having that i cant seem to figure out at this point im starting to think its my harness or my ecu. Motor idles fine and drives fine at low rpm but when i get to a light or i stop the car it goes under 1k rpms and tries to shut off. then if im driving and i try to pass 4k it breaks up and starts back firing. i pulled my spark plugs and they are burning white (from what i see its running lean)but i have a brand new walboro 255. From my understanding the motor is a stock redtop with a manifold and throttle body. Shouldnt i be running rich ???
open to any ideas at this point :ugh:

ps. I just finished changing out the maf thinking that was the issue and nothing, redid my ignition timing, tps sensor works, and i did a boost leak check ( thinking about it trying it again).

spark. get new spark plugs gap them to .28 if your running stock boost. gap them even if they are pregapped. youll find ppl fail during shipping.

check coil packs, they go bad alot
ckeck resistance on coil paks
if their under 1k ohms its bad

when letting off the gas if your bov is atmospheric try letting off and touching the gas alittle to help it get back up.

yea my bov is atmospheric but it still shouldnt be doing that a friends sr has an atmospheric bov and it drops back to idle just fine and im tired of buying sparkplugs and gapping em lol, i have the multimeter to measure it but its analog and i looks like chinese with all the settings it has

could be voltage to fuelpump
power to ecu could b under 12v
or like crazywhiteboy say coilpacks

hit up stefan @ STP for the fuel pump wiring mod (relays) - shit works great or you can read up and do it urself if you feel like voltage is the issue

Wrap your coil packs with some electrical tape and see if it gets better. If it does then they are probably starting to crack, which would cause this.
Have you tried pulling an injector plug at idle to see if it changes anything? Could be that too.

Dude check for a boost leak again, throttle body gasket, intake manifold gasket anything that's not stock in the pressure system, for the back fire and shit over 4k..
For the falling idle problem look between 2-3 cyl on the intake manifold there's an idle ajust ment screw on the iac, mess with that alil and see if it incresses rpm.. If not the iac is probly dirty, disconect the hose that comes off the iac that runs to the cold pipe and while it's running at 2k spritz some seafoam in there that shit cleans great. My dads sr was doing about the same as your and that fixed it.. Good luck
