I want to replace the manifold gasket and turbo inlet gasket and want to just remove the manifold to get to both at the same time without removing turbo or downpipe. has anybody done this before?

1. unbolt exhaust mani from head
2. unbolt turbo coolent feed from block
3. unbolt oil feed from block
4. loosen the clamp on the oil return on the bottom of the turbo (get under car to do this)
5. undo the clamp on the coolent feed on the back of the head... (youll see the line comming from the turbo around the back of the head..)
6. un bolt your downpipe
7. pull the turbo mani, turbo, and o2 housing out from the top..

it takes some manuvering but youll get it.. call me if you get stuck..

its not that hard, when i swapped my manifold i just took off that line from the turbo and left it on the motor, oh and make sure that if u get new crush washers u get the right size, i accidentally put the wrong washer on and when i went to start it i threw a shit load of oil all over the floor, n i have to do it again

be superrrrr careful tightening the oil line on the block. I stripped mine out forever ago. it wont stop, it'll just get to that point, then a lil farther and you're real mad.

the hardes part for me was bolting the lines back onto the motor holy crap that fucking bolt did not wanna go back in the whole, i seriously spent hours, it was actually the hardest part of swapping manifold

i got stainless lines , hopefully will be easier cus i know hard lines are a bitch , anyone ever change out a clutch slave on a first gen mr2....................god it fucking sucks.
