Ride-A-Long-O-Rama! at CFRC

thats even worse. one ride in a car for $10? what if 50 people show up for it? is he doing 50 runs? what if someone wants 2 runs= $20?

if a driver is willing to take someone for a ride thats nice, if the track wants to charge extra, then it should be split among those drivers providing a service (have a line, people get in the next available car). if a driver, like pat, doesnt want to give rides, they dont have to- if they only giving rides to friends and not to the 'paying customer' thats fine too. but if Marco, JLo, Dan, Rob, Fello, Camel... anyone... was willing to do so, why cant he make a few bucks too?

uhhhhhhhh, CFRC never has before. just had to be a caged car. before recent times, there was no requirement for a cage even.

its not a bad idea i guess, but its seems rather bleh that you would pick a specific driver only, and then its not even a florida regular guy. I know chelsea is/used to be FL, hell, he is a teammate through Nexen with me- but I think its odd. Its nothing against him personally- id feel the same if it was any one driver.

I don't really care, but I think this is a step in the akward direction. GL with the idea though.

OMG...:ugh:

Some dude paid me $40 one time for a ride at PBIR. It was awesome.

it is quite the dilemma, its an event hosted by cfrc but the ridealongs are given by the drivers. so who's to decide if there is or isnt a charge for a ridealong. looking at cfrc standpoint, spectators are willing to pay which is another source of revenue for them. looking from the drivers standpoint they could also stand to share in the profit but what if they want to give a friend a free ridealong, i mean it is their car and they're the ones driving, without them there would be no event and no spectators.
i say charge for ridealongs in any drivers car and split profit but give each driver the ability to waive the fee for a maximum of three ridealongs for say a good acquaintance or friend. also at any time any driver can decide whether or not he is open to give ridealongs. that way the venue can respect the drivers desires to give or not give a ride and whether to charge for it. on the same token the drivers as a whole respects the venue's need to make more revenue. idk just a thought.

I hope everything went well for drivers and ride-alongs. I second this^^ I'm always hoppin from car to car at events, so this would suck.
