Rob Riter at Summer Drift Matsuri

Check out Midwest grassroots drifter Rob Riter now attacking the Ebisu Circuit at the rainy Summer Drift Matsuri. Last time Rob graced our magazine he was in his Mazda Miata doing a cohorts piece with his buddy Simba. Since then he has moved to Japan and we found this video of him sliding it up in a Silvia. Check out the video as he attacks several of the Ebisu circuits.

are you serious? I saw nothing in that video that was horrible, that track is a total car wrecker in the rain. Not hitting a wall and linking it is damn good.

well I think the driving was a tad on the low side. For someone to be in the rain is one thing, but in the 'grass on all sides' sections, he was riding ebrake like it was 150mph and he is moving like 20 and needed a little more right foot, not so much left hand. Not to mention there was a lot of easy links/slow sections that I swear he straightened on, I don't care really, mofo is on Ebisu- lucky ass.

I don't know why, but I feel like playing Twister...

Now i'm all about the ebrake and all but the video to me is not impressive. but needed to use more right foot like Jason said..

around 2:20 it looks like he picks his nose and wipes it on his shirt...:ugh:

Y'all gotta remember he's driving an almost stock s15 that I'm pretty sure is his daily. He can probably drive better than 99% of the people on this forum. He also picks his nose.

aware, aware and aware:laugh:

yea i know he is good. my concern is only the slow sections that I feel are possible in a sohc ka open diff, that he seems to struggle with. its always easy to be critical when you weren't there, but meh...

you are right but still i like to be critical of others. I'm hoping to have some video of me in Ebisu in the spring.

I cant say shit really....
cuz the man is:

-IN JAPAN

-AT EBISU

-DRIFTING

-AN S15

-IN THE RAIN

And some of us will barely get to the 3rd...

If there were nothing to critique he'd be pro...even then, nobody's perfect. Lets not be fanboi's here. That was not great driving but by the looks of it, he wasn't trying to impress anyone. Deal with it.

everyones getting offended here like we are bashing the guy. I personally expected better from Riter, as he is a pretty darn well known driver for never have been a FD competitor.

We're not watching the same video then.
