but as far as TerTech the cage they put in Seans S12 is ok but not great... the welds look a bit ghetto/rough.. might just be because they were straped for time and doing it at cost. IDK I have never seen another one of their cages.

1. THERE IS NO TER-TECH CAGE

They buy their cages from chassis engineering. Chassis Engineering can install them too. There is no point in discussing what Ter-Tech can/can't do since they don't take customers anymore.

It was my bad welding, not Ter-Tech's. Harri only did a few welds on that cage to help finish it and they are beautiful. Most of my welds are good on that car, but the one above the passenger where the front downtube connects to the halo bar is gnarly looking. It's a very solid weld, it just came out nasty because of the angle I was welding at and the settings on the machine not being right. As far as I know Sean Olsen was planning on using a TIG on that weld to smooth it in.

That said, I should have ground it down and smoothed it out, I was just down to the last minute literally before we headed to Texas. I also would have much rather put the down tubes through the dash instead of in front of it, but I called Sean Olsen many times during the build and asked what he wanted. Because of where some wiring and fuseboxes were, we decided it would be simpler and just as well to go where the cage is right now. It's a functional installation from a safety view, and Sean claims it added a lot of rigidity to the car.

Again Sean Olsens S12 cage was built by me (Sean Love) not anyone else.

Ter-Tech doesnt really do much work anymore, but for the right price we can still do simple cages. Mild steel 6point is $1100 installed.

Kirk Racing made my cage... pretty good set up ..6point with side impact bars... no fun getting in an out of but its a good fitment for a modern car. If u want further info i can give u a number an call them up... im not sure what cage diagrams they have available.

Yea I know about the auto power cages thats the same one that the BatlGround S14's are using and they look good.. Plus if the car is ever in an accident I don't have to deal with cutting out the cage or junking the car with the cage if it's not damaged . But thanks guys..

I think a member on this site. Ag04 has an autopower cage in his S13. You might want to try and PM him and ask him about it. It looks really good. 6 point with harness bar and side impact bars. Very clean tight fit. Finished in black.

I can attest to that! I drove it before and after the cage and damn! That helped alot

its crazy how rigid a car becomes once you put a cage in it! ...you have like this new found stability...feels like you can do a u turn in a shoe box lol...

Yea so I called brian over at chassis engineering and he gave me some prices on an 8 point cage with some side impact bars but I wanted to know is a 110 per point for installation a good price . And also is there anyone that does a really good job welding and would be up to the task $$$ is included...

if youg et me some 2x4s and some wood glue i cam cook up somethin for ya.....

....i dunno that seems like in the 800 dollar side. a fully maid cage for a mat ais like 700 or so and thats i beleive a 6 pt. cage.
