rx-7 injectors in RB25det

hey everyone,

I'm know this has already been brought up, i read all the info that's already been posted and am still confused so i thought I would ask for a straight out answer.

If I am going to use the rx-7 550cc injectors on my rb what do I need?

FD 550's and FC 550's are different I guess? at least that's what i've got.

Also are they top mount injectors? my buddy has an fc and his are? are FD top mount too? that means I would need a Top mount fuel rail?

And what's up with the resistors needed? what do they do and where do I get them?

Thanks for any help guys!

please search nico, fresh alloy, zilvia first.

I believe you have to run a washer or some kind of spacer someplace.

They are low impedance injectors, your rb uses high impedance injectors. You would have to wire a resistor box up to create more resistance on the injector circuit. You may want to check to see if your powerFC can switch in between low impedance and high impedance injector voltage outputs. These are also called peak and hold or saturated.

But hey if you are doing all this work to your engine to get it "ready" or finished before you head off to school. I dont advise you running used injectors. Buy new injectors. It only takes 1 injector to fail under power and your engine is hurt. even if they miss a beat its critical to engine life. If you dont have the money to complete everything then leave the car as it is so you can continue to drive it on vacations. fuck this used injector idea, I dont like it. and buy good injectors. NOT DEATHWORKS

I have read up on nico, fresh alloy, zilvia, skylines austrailia, z fever, etc, etc,

The reason I am asking is because it's seriosly confusing.

which ones are low impedance.

Some people said that FD injectors are high impedance, and FC injectors are low impedance. like one has an oval connector and one has a square one.

I dont even know why you are entertaining the idea? Running used injectors and adding other electrical harness' spell trouble. If you get them flow tested, ~100 dollars. plus the cost of used injectors ~100. You are 1\2 way there to the cost of brand new injectors that fit your fuel rail and will work with your current injector drivers.

s4 is 87-89 s5 is 90-92. i believe. the motors are the same 13b, but the injectors, compression and turbo (and aero) were slightly changed in the s5.

they are different series of FC. like the pignose/chuki s13's. and the zenki/kouki s14's.

dude, i know Zack knows all this, lol.

basically the difference between s4 and s5 motor is s5 slightly higher compression rotors and they where also lighter than the s4.

87tii Fc Cam 550 Low Imp And 88tii Fc High Imp I Kno That. The Fd Injectors Dont Work On Fc Thats Wat I Was Told By Ppl In Forums Ans Rotary Shops, The Fd Comes With I Think 800 Something Cc Injectors Stock I Think, Or U Can Get Fb 1gen Gslse Injectors That Are Low Imp 680cc, Or N/a Fc Are 460cc Low Or High Imp Matters Years
