i agree with the s14 i think the lil more wieght up front helps it get alot more sidewayz easier
and ive heard that Keichi Tsuchiya favors the s14 aswell since us s13 driver suffer from sum understeer atleast i do. feint drift always

^^ agreed...

Ive drifted both and from my personal experience i found it easier to slide the s13. (both stock) Like mentioned above, I felt like the s14 was sloppy. plus the s13 can rev higher which gives u more to play with. Also correct me if im wrong, dont s13's have a better turning radius? The s13 just feels more Nimble/Snappier.

The s14 rides more like a touring car for me. Maybe cuz its heavier and designed with a softer ride it feels like a larger car. I assume we are talking about Se's because base model s14's dont even bring a rear swaybar.

I likem both as cars but unless its a kouki s14 i will always own an s13. And my choice is strictly based on looks as far as the Kouki goes. Not Performance.

s13 ftw!! :bigthumbu:

you know the stock KA makes no power after like 5200rpm on the dynos right?

On boost it does...:)

I was referring to it as more of a long run thing when you would have more power and it would be more beneficial. :bigthumbu

they both rev the same lol 7200rpm rev limiter u cant go by the oem tach.. check the safc readout or something on both cars

The reason S14's have a lower redline is because of the milder cams, they don't make the power as high the RPM band as S13's do. Ofcourse the cams aren't that aggressive so it feels more like mid range power because obviously n/a KA's are garbage for top end.

:ugh: I wouldnt rev a stock s14 past 6500 rpm. Thats just me though...

uhh....so if you had an s14 KA in your s13 your only going to rev to 6500? what about an s14 KA with s13 KA cams? its still stock just with better stock parts, either way i dont see the point your trying to make by saying you can rev an s13 higher then an s14, that doesnt make either car better/worse then the other. if you cant drive then both cars are going to suck. how about we drift instead of making threads about which car is better for drifting...

The S14 is a Touring car compared to the S13 & even the S15. I love my s14 but it's the truth. The others are more sports oriented. I like the kouki look too...too bad it's the heaviest S14 ;)

How you guys are calling an s14 a touring car is beyond me. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Touring_car

Either way, I'd trade up and s13 for an s14 any day of the week...it has a longer wheelbase, wider track, and a stiffer chassis. The interior is light years more appealing and they don't have that wierd smell all s13's have. Oh and the wiring harness doesn't look like absolute dog shit sitting under the hood.

Yes... an s14 chokes worse then an s13 past that."Thats just me though"

Its not so much that it makes one better then the other its just a small advantage for the s13. In the long run the s13 will make better top end power. Not by much.

Yeah but in the long run they will still be the same, If I was building a KA I would be swapping cams for sure weither I swap cams in a S14 or a S13 KA makes not a bit of differnce

uhhh huhhh i see...interesting well either way you opinion on the subject makes no difference to me, that my crower V2's are the same on either motor :ugh:

The s13 cams have a duration of 240 intake side and a 248 duration on the exhaust side.

The s14 cams come with a 232 duration for both.

I dont wanna shock you guys or anything but, If you turbo you're Ka24de and keep the stock cam's While having something to tune with. This DOES make a difference. Maybe not a world of a difference but every bit of hp does count.

The only thing that balances the s13/s14 out is that the s13 ecu has a weaker map while the s14 ecu has a more aggressive map yet, still weak though.

well the S14 is cooler than the S13 only because it has 5lug OEM and the gas tank is more in towards the middle then the ass of the car
