S14 KA into SOHC Chassis

I want to know if anybody has any info about putting a S14 KA into a single-cam chassis. What do i need to do? Does the sohc harness plug right up, or do i need a dohc harness? I know i am gonna need twin-cam p/s lines....but beyond that nothing.

You need harness from the DOHC and yea the sohc p/s lines wont work unless you bend them alot. thats about it. Also the exhaust is different and maf.

Its a simple swap. Just give yourself about 13hours (ive done it before and I didnt know much about it then).
 
yeah i figured its a simple swap....i just want to have everything before i start.

Will a S13 dohc harness work?

Basicly this is what i have to work with.... I have a running sohc s13 5 speed, and a s14 ka with automatic trans complete without harness. I kow i have to change flywheel, bushing, and p/s lines. But do i need an s14 harness, or will a s13 dohc harness work? Also what ecu do i use....auto s14, or get a dohc 5spd ecu? Anything else...

Me I Changed The Whole Body Harness
But I Went Fom Crank Windows To Full Power
But If You Just Get The Dohc Dash Side Of Plug And Wire It In
I Believe The Wire Colors Match
Also..........the Cluster
You Need A Dohc Cluster Or Tach Wont Work
That Should Be All Of It
My Cars An 89 With 96 Motor/97 Tranny Andfull Power 93 Body Harness
U Must Use 91 -94 Dohc Engine Harness
THE FLY WHEEL FROM DOHC ALL CORESPONDING BOLTS
U CAN USE A 91-94 DOHC AUTO ECU ITS ALLOWS HIGHER REVS AND HIGHER REV LIMITER
MAKE SURE HARNESS IS IN GOOD SHAPE IVE HAD MY FAIR SHARE OF ELECTRICAL PROB FROM A BAD HARNESS

No.... find out which wire is the speed and rpm wires and rewire them to your new DOHC harness and your good. I did it, not hard.

Dont tell me you already searched and found nothing because I myself, aswell as others on here have discussed this before a trillion times already. :rolleyes:

REALLY.................... VERY INTERESTING
I GUESS U LEARN SOMETHING NEW EVERY DAY
ITS JUST PERSONALLY ID PREFER NOT TO SPLICE OR REWIRE
any thing and just use the correct harness
cool dig the info tho
