S14 sr #1 injector isn't getting signal

Ok so i pulled my motor out to clean it up and change the clutch and a bunch of other crap and i finally put it back in and i got it running but the first cylinder wasn't working.. I switched coil packs on 1 and 2 and 1 still wasn't working.. I pulled out the spark plug and grounded it and i have spark.. the spark plug didn't smell like gas and then i switched the injector harness and then 1 was working and 2 wasn't so i know the injector is good.. Anyone have any ideas how i can figure out what the problem is know??? I remember it was doing it when i was doing the swap but went away when i actually finished so i went through and made sure all harnesses were pushed together tight and still nothing.. Can i put a tester on at the ecu and see if i'm getting a signal form there.

check pin number 101,103,110,112 for a signal at the ecu those are the injector pins.
heres the ecu pinout hope it helps.

what doesnt make sense is u said, #1 injector is working, then u swaped the harness for another one and #1 works but #2 injector doesnt. it could be the wire pins have come loose inside a connector and its not getting proper contact. make sure no wires are loose at the connectors, and the connectors are pushed together.

post more info

I found the pin layout already and my uncle was suppose to come over and bring his NOIUD (don't know how to spell it) but he picked some spanish pussy over me.. he told me i couldn't use my tester cuz it won't be able to read it cuz its to fast of a pulse.. i was thinking of cutting and splicing a new injector harness but i didn't want to do it till i tested it cuz i'd rather not have a splice..
But thanks for helping i probably wont have an update till tomorrow cuz i'm going to get my drink on now

u can use the test light it will work. aslo u can take the cam angle sensor out and with key on, turn it by hand and hear/ watch with test light each injector fire, u can do it slowly so u can go through the firing order with out missing an injector fire. just make sure u put the motor tdc before u take it out, so u can put it back in with out timing being off

thanks alot i thought of using the test light last nite but ended up staying at a friends house and just got home i'll try it and post again

Thank you paul for all your help i found out what the problem was. I took off my ecu to check to see if i had a signal coming from the ecu and when i took it off i remembered what a hack job the guy who did my wiring did.. the main harness is broke in half and a couple pins are just pushed in so come to find out 101 was one of those and it had just simply come out.. 600 bucks to have my sr wired up.. I wish i would have know about this site b4 i took it to a shop i'm sure i could have paid some here 200 bucks and they would have loved to come did it and i would have had quality work done.. and i would have made a new friend most likely.. I wish i knew as much about the swap as i do know cuz now i would have just done it myself.. But thanks again!!! Know i just have to start paying for insurance again:ugh:
