I was w/ my boy in his S14 last night and @ about 100 MPH or so the car sounded to me like it fuel cutted, but i dont know fuel cut being so high in the MPH range...I pinned the speedo b4 and it never cut or anything of that sort...I'm a little confused on how it happend now and not b4...It's an S14 SR VTC/T-28 @ stock boost 8PSI/Stock Injectors/FMIC & exhaust upgrade & a walbro pump. I thought it might be a speed cut but it didnt do it when i pinned the speedo. Can anybody shed some light on this plz?

possible that your injectors are dirty or malfunctioning so it hit what seemed like "fuel cut" cause it couldn't keep up?

no its a speed cut at 110 unplug the speed sensor they run the hell out of it. Get a tuned comp and you'l be fine

i heard there are 2 speed cuts, 1 is the speed sensor in the tranny that cuts it at 110-116mph or so, and i heard there's another 5th gear sensor. I don't have the speed sensor hooked up, but in 5th gear at 6krpm i get a fuel cut. I have s13 SR, it definitely has more to go but it cuts at 6krpm and when it drops back down to 5800rpm i can accelerate again...:ugh:I think thats around 135-140mph or so. haven't done the gear ratio/speed calculator.
Oh realllyyy (scratching chin) Thats exactly like what we experienced...Where do you think the secondary cut comes from...I've heard there is a pink wire going to the ECU thats the vehicle speed sensor(dont quote me on this MIGHT be wrong) Can the tuned get rid of this secondary cut and/or a fuel cut defencer?

When you buy the nistune it comes with all the needed software right? Lemme get this str8 it comes pretuned for a certain setting & you can also hook it up on the laptop and adjust other things such as speed limit adjustment ETC ETC...Thanks ill definatley let you know i think hes gonna be getting it in a month or so.

no, you would have to socket the ecu and get a sister board, then a datalink cable to a laptop. The software comes with templates for most nissan applications and you pretty much have to tune it from scratch (this is where i come in). I can prolly get the ecu socketed for you too. Well, that's one way of doing it at least. the other way to do this is to socket the ecu and get an eprom chip and an ostrich 2.0 chip burner.
