Shock Rubber Boot's

Ok, I'm Going to install my shocks this weekend and I came across a little problem, I went to go buy some Shock Boot's becuase my OEM shocks practicly have no boot's and figured I should get new one's. So when I go to the local Autoparts, the boots go for 15bux a peice. I'm not trying to be cheap but 60bux for 4 piece's of rubber that I are "Supposed" to protect the shocks is a bit expensive. I'm Just curious if I really NEED these boot's or will there be no difference with or without them?

boots are meant to preserve. its a preventive measure to make your parts last longer, so dust, road debris, etc dont get in the joints etc. i would definately not skip buying these, but if you cant afford it right now then just get it when you get the money
