Hey by any chance does anyone know if a 90's model s13 silvia K differential is an lsd?? I researched it but cannot find any information on it. Thanks in advance
 
well im not sure what a snot diff is. I really dont know the difference but Im getting a good deal on a silvia diff and I was going to get it but im not sure if it is open or and lsd. Its froma silvia k.
 
if it's a VLSD you should see an orange sticker on it but even if you see that you can't always belive it.Test it by spining one of the output shafts if they both spin the same way it's a vlsd, if they spin oppisite of eachothere it's a non-lsd
 
w/e that will make the spin will work you can even spin it from where you would bolt up the drive shaft.

i am about 95% sure all k's cars in japan came with vlsd standard. i have a j30 that didnt have a sticker but it is a lsd so dont go by that test. just spin the damn thing and see

you don't have a sticker because you have a s13 so you had to change the back plate duhh.. :bigthumbu :laugh:
 
Also my 180sx diff is VLSD. It came with my clip. Dead giveaway would be 5 bolt halfshafts. if it came from japan and has 5 bolts it's got VSLD Powa! Haha
