Wtf does it matter that someone chose to do exterior modifications before performance? Its his car. Therefore he can do whatever he wants with it.

I know exactly where you're coming from but, why does it matter to you? There ARE also those who wont slide there cars, even with a stock front end.
If he prefers to do what he wishes to his car it is non of our concern. Pretty soon this forum is gonna come with a Must Have before register rule book.
I think hes aware that he couldve bought an LSD, Bushings, Links, Coilovers....etc.

Ripped off!? I don't think so (by my brother) never. Just the motor alone is $2000-2200 (Larry, Just JAPs, GR TECH or E-bay) your choice and wiering is $500... are we forgetting about labor and the exhaust etc (do it right or don't do it IMO). Hey my brother gets alot of people that they like to do shit them selfs and end up paying even more. So if you know how to do it for less... good for you! or get you own shopp b/c I haven't seen the fist shop that charges less then $3500 for an SR20DET.
