Silvia steering wheel air bag

I contacted a nissan dealer in Cali that deals alot in 240sx and asked him about a kouki wing and a silvia steering wheel. This was his response.


Q: Kouki JDM wing or the USDM one? The JDM steering wheel airbag doesnt work because the ohm resistance in the airbag modules arent the same, it would only be a decorative device at that point. They cost $1500 steering wheel/airbag, there is a Navan version around too for about the same. Maybe you are better off finding one used.



I have seen on other boards saying that the air bag will work but this guy is saying it would not and only be for decorative device cause the ohms aren't the same.

Can anyone back this up?

omg for that money i can buy the new nrg tilt quickrelease with lock, a nice ass steering wheel and have over 1000 dollars in my pocket

1500 new JDM key word is new
600 new USDM

that is alot I was looking for one used (the lightning bolt one i have seen them around 200)
But if the it doesn't work due to the different ohms then why get it

Maybe I should get a quick disconnect one.
