Skidpad Pics

ok, this is def not my style, but I'm gonna say it anyways...

I rode up to Moroso with him, and unfourtunatly, I agree with all of you. We stayed the night in Stuart to get to the event early, and that whole day, I think he slid every turn in stuart. I didn't tell him anything, but I realized this kid is reckless. On the way there, I told him. "Dude, don't slide onto the road leading to Moroso"....he did anyways. When he threw that trash in the grass, i told him not to...he did anyways. I warned him against being stupid in the pits, and told him about the 5 mph limit since he was fixing his car during the drivers meeting. On the way out of the shell leaving Moroso, i told him not to, that cops always patrol outside venues like that to catch morons being stupid. He's lucky it was Z4k, AR, and Scuba Steve and not the Palm Beach police. Then, on the way home, he decided to try to drift the offramp on the Golden Glades. He nearly put us into the wall.

I'm not writing this to sound cool, or kiss ass, or w/e. I just agree with all of you about what he did, and just because I was in the car when it happend, doesn't mean I agree with it.

Rodolfo, I don't mean to call you out like this man...your a cool kid and all, I don't have a personal problem with you. But you don't do stupid shit like that when we're trying to prove to Moroso that we are respectful, and not "insane lunatics" like the track manager said. The sliding on the streets in Miami and even Stuart was ok, albeit reckless and stupid. But Ter-Tech hooked us up nasty by giving us a REAL track and course to drive. Imagine if everyone there was doing what you did. Moroso probably wouldn't let us back, and Ter-Tech would probably not waste their time planning more events.

^^ Well put, thank god only locals caught him. It would suck if we lose Moroso before I get to slide it. :D

Unfortunately, I was not able to attend. Congrats to everyone, the pics look awesome! :bigthumbu

sheesh... didn't realize you guys would jump down my throat so bad... fine, i might be a bit wreckless... i do realize that. the sliding on the streets, the littering, all of it... ill appologize just for the fact that i didn't mean to rub anyone the wrong way... My bad for that and ill try to show a little bit more restraint next time.

I think it's more of a common sense/respect thing. You weren't the only one littering, I saw quite a few people doing it - but then again that is a pet peeve of mine when people do it.

reckless is a different story - because I won't be a hypocrite and condemn you for something I have done, as has EVERY person in this entire board/forum. But at least you were man enough to admit it... And that is all that one can ask in my opinion. One thin I "will" touch on is just that when someone else is in your car, remind your self that it's his/her life in danger as well as yours. It's one thing to kill your self being stupid, its another to paralyze or kill someone else your with that has no control. On the other hand, if you're doing it - and they want more... then both of you keep the consequences in mind...

You only rubbed me the wrong way when you tried to play stupid with me. Either way it doesn't matter, you've had your warning - next time there won't be any.

No need to threaten someone, because everyone in this place is guilty of something.. He manned up - that is more than others would do in his position. Give him a chance THEN get on to him about it. Life is too short for people to be hypocrites

Not true - he was doing it in the pits, something 99% of us are smart enough to realize is a) dangerous b) stupid. Also tried to tell me it was an accident. :ugh:

I hear you... and I understand - because I WOULD have been pissed. However.... no one forced him to leave... so unfortunately it kept happening. He did apologize, and while that may not hold much validity (I UNDERSTAND 100%) - there is no difference in the pits then when someone yolks a 180 out side of a gas station, parking lot, etc etc... The difference is it was near you - not you in the car and someone else on the receiving end... Know what I mean?

No, you are missing the point completely. He did it in the pits of the venue. If he was caught by the track manager or general manager (who were both present that day) or an insurance rep, Moroso could be done for good. If he want's to fuck around on the street, that's his business.

Im not missing the point - im saying that unfortunately someone didnt say something to get him escorted out. I know exactly what you mean about the insurance rep etc... What I am saying is, hind site is what it is. He knows what he did, he apologized for it. Whether it was at the track or on the street - the consequences are the same. And every person on the board is guilty of a lapse in judgment. If he does it again, crucify him on a cross - but you can talk to the guy like an adult vs. going at him head on. You get more done that way... Plus he wasn't the only person speeding through the pits either, a couple of people almost hit me - another about ran one of the workers over while coming in from getting fuel.

Well lets just say this now....

PEOPLE, do what ever you want on the streets. But when you goto a place like Moroso holding an event SAVE the drifting and speeding for the course NOT in the pits or side roads or anything else. And as for littering, I mean cmon people, its not your place so treat it with respect. Thats common courtesy.

Well everyone here has a point......He is reckless and very dumbfounded.....But everytime you do tell him to stop something and he sees taht he's wrng he will apologize. Just now he knows for next time which there wont be for him if he does it again......

...orly? Then...

Contradiction much?

Um, yeah. I said this:

...because I did try to talk to him like an adult, at the venue. When he tried to play innocent with me is when things became childish.

We live and we learn. Hopefully if he does sign up for another event, he'll treat the venue with respect.

And I was the first one to mention giving him a chance. I'm all for it.

Soooo...yeah, you missed every point i made.

ProjectRB26DETT, do that shit again and you can expect a ban. Don't risk fucking it up for all of us. We all worked too hard to get to where we're at right now. Anywho, you did good at the skidpad. Although you need to upgrade your suspension.

For real mr project rb. Enjoy learing by yourself because from now on i wont give you instruction. I tryed to help you get better because you asked me to help you. But this is unacceptable.

I used to slide on the streets (like 8th street and shit like that). Now that I have my daily, I have toned down, and now I just wait for events, or take my car to a safe spot. Even more so after hearing what the track manager said at the post event driver's meeting. It's true, if people keep seeing this recklessness on the streets, less insurance companies will want to insure drifting events. Drifting sort of has a bad name outside of it's professional categories already. Let's try to change that. I want people to take drifters as serious, professional individuals instead of non-socials. We have a goal of making SFL a successful drifting community, let's make it happen.

ter-tech hasnt spent the past 4 years or so BUILDING THEIR NAME around florida drifting and GETTING US SICK ASS VENUES for some DICK to ruin it. thats basically slapping harri in the face, as he gets us legal events..

let this be your ONE and ONLY warning.
