someone fix my timing!!!!!!

anybody in or near hialeah know how to perfectly adjust the timing on a twin cam KA? preferably someone who has done it b4. lmk please. would greatly appreciate it. thanks:bigthumbu

its very simple. put a socket on a ratchet. 27 mm. rotate crank until you reach tdc on compression stroke, you can see by taking off the oil cap and looking inside to see if the lobes are pointing out on no1 cylinder. then take off distributor cap, and pull out distributor and spin as needed to put the rotor directly under the no1 plug. put everything back together. start engine.

thats the first part then you need a timing light to set the base timing while the car is idleing around 800 rpms with the tps unplugged. base timing should be 20 deg (last little mark on crank pulley.

Step 1. Get 27mm socket and rotate crank pulley until you are at 20btdc(before top dead center) which would be the first notch

Step 2. Remove distributor cap and rotor and set rotor to cylinder #1 (10 o'clock).

Step 3. Reassemble so it looks like this, attach plugs like so

Step 4. Check, and make sure everything is tight and crank it up

NA I DID IT, MULTIPLE TIMES, AND MY CAR STILL RIDES LIKE CRAP. I WAS TOLD ON NICO CLUB THAT MY TEMPERATURE SENSOR MIGHT BE WHY MY CAR STILL BOGGS OUT AND CHOKES. HAVE ANY OF YOU GUYS HEARD OF THIS?

TDC and check it with a timing light make sure its on 15 degrees and if that is correct then u obviously know its something else

20 BTDC. come on guys READ. its not 15 its 20! LOOK AT THE DAMN PICTURES! and it sounds to me like you want someone to come and take a look at it. instead of doing it yourself

I Have A Timing Light That Is Just A Gun That Shoots The Light, No Dial. But Ima Go And Do Ifrom TDC Then. What is the difference cuz some says they started from 15BTDC someone else says 20BTDC. i dont under stand, isnt there supose to be only one point to start from and then you adjust it buy moving the dizzy around?

20BTDC go out side, do it, then come back and give an update

hmm.... what about the coolant temperature sensor? i was told that that could cause choking.
