something different

I've owned 2 F-bodies.... I had a 92 V6 RS that i used to try to slide around Hialeah speedway...that was fun for attempting it... .but i wouldnt recomend it for the long run...thing felt like it was coming into peices. when i got the car nothing was wrong with it... after i was done, exhaust leaks started to apear, freeze plugs blew out... front end felt like it was gonna come LOOSe lol, well i'd suggest MAJOR chassis re-enforcement. Strut tower support braces, plus all the othe braces that come for the car...
over all I would Love the Camaros and plan to get another one but Make SURE its a V8 5spd with a posi (Z-28 or an IROC-Z28)
my second car was an 89 IROC badass Simple to slide easy nice torque/power ratio right out the box... make sure the car is healthy before you beat it... thats all i gotta say.

You should check out : www.powerslideways.com For all the info you NEED to know about sliding these cars... have fun with your F-body.

i miss those Hialeah days. like Knightrider posted. people do slide camaros and F bodies it just takes some time and effort put into the car. just like i stated before, the car not being a popular car to drift means the parts arent the cheapest nor the easiest to come by but that doesnt mean the support for it is not there.

forumla D is nowhere in my sights with this car.. its just something rwd to get stupid in!
yes i use to own a 89 camaro it handled like a boat and i just couldnt deal with muscle car handling. but hey if you want to do it do it. i just think there are better cars out there.

i slide a camaro everytime i go to my old job :) loli love how at any RPMs th car still pics up nicely and keeps the rear end out nicely. angle kills you tho.

overall, any car that is easy to make drift well, has already been done and is popular, anything different = $$ and/or disappointment. trust me.

but if you are up for it, it can be done. question is how much $$ and time will be wasted when you could just start with a better platform...

i would say just make sure you got another car as a DD cause something like that will take up a lot of down time if you are gonna do it right. yea that is the problem is making sure ou got enough aftermarket support. but if you find coilovers like someone said GC makes some, then thas a big part of it, and you got that posi stuff for the rear. so you should be cool. it'll be interesting, thats for sure. just make sure you got a back up JIC

props to you man if you decide to go along with it and be a little different from the crowd.

i slide a 944, dont think there are too many of those in the game lol.
