Sometimes I am ashamed to work for the Healthcare industry...

I know a lot of people complain about Dr pay, insurance, and health care in the US in general. I don't necessarily agree or disagree but I don't think a federal health plan is a good option.

I know enough to take journalistic reports with a huge grain of salt, but I still think this is a pretty good one. You all should watch it.

this is why i go to the cuabn guy in the van, in Hialeah to get my health care. no but this is bullshit and we live in the "freeest" country in the world and we have hear about cases like this. as fucked up as Cuba is there health care is on of the best in the world i know of many people from Europe that go to Cuba to get fixed up.

honestly i heard the same thing, im pretty sure like tonymac mentioned there might be flaws, buts just like canada, they actually care about caring for someones health.

Not quite. The health care in Cuba is shit...unless you're a tourist or you're rich and if you live in Cuba, chances are you're not either. What you heard was BS started by the king of BS, Michael Moore.

Its a communist country guys. They'll only show you what they want to show you. In China for instance, tourists are only allowed to visit certain cities and/or sectors of cities b/c the government doesn't want you to see the massively polluted areas occupied by hundreds of thousands of people all living in very substandard living conditions. It looks like a dense fog covers some of those cities, the pollution is that bad.

Health care in Canada is sketchy. There are plenty of reports one could find illustrating 1+ year wait times for certain procedures, meanwhile Canada's own published reports on health care wait times tells a different story. There are laws in place to punish private sector medical practices too. It looks to me that certain provinces and certain procedures have different levels of accessibility although I'm not quite sure exactly why. Canada does seem to be taking steps in the right direction to address issues and concerns though.

I have seen couple of documentaries on this. The wait line is amazing and sometimes people die while waiting. Some Canadians that are well off end up spending the money to come down to US for Healthcare. There are also underground clinics that break all the rules up there but those become very expensive too and of course there is the legal aspect of it that some Candians may not want to address. Therefore, the grass may not be necessarilly greener on the other side!
