I actually used brake cleaner or wd40, a wire brush and a shit load of paper towels ..... It works great.....

I used a chisel and aircraft stripper on my chassis. Be careful to not be in a garage or the like. Aircraft stripper is potent! don't use it if you care about the factory paint under there either cause it will put a hurtin on that too.

It's so out of control that you can spray it on an unscaped section and it will melt right through the tar deadening material. It's hotttt. Best thing though, unless you wanna mop up tar goo in large pools, is to strip it. Grab some mop heads, the strand kind, and spray a section, hit it with the mop, and then come back in for the fine details with a rag or two.
 
yo jdm 180 u down to remove the left over material on my wheel wells and by the shifter and clean that bitch up lol basically make it look just like how urs looks ill hook u up jus lemme know
 
i never saw the point in removing sound deadening... unless its a TRACK only car... but for DD, id never gut the car... you only lose like 45 lbs including carpet, and rear seats. why not lose a few pounds... good for you and you dont have problem of constant noise... just my 2cents.... looks good though.
