this is crazy. drifters are basically getting their own test n tune's on tracks all over the state. i still cant believe how big this sport is getting.

my only idea, is make it affordable and more people are probably going to show up.

about $25-$35 per driver would be great..

my wallet is permanantly empty because of so many events, i love it though.

yeah michelle its like a 4-5 hour drive for us. so its kinda far:(

i'd still like to go one day

Ok how many of you are close to g-ville, or closer to OSW? we already hold OSW sat nights. Then we have Harris with Moroso. Who is actually trying to run the Ocala Speedway events?

We don't have to have one at Ocala. I'm the owner and I've been working on putting it together. We don't race at all on Saturdays, only Friday night. Orlando however mainly races on Saturday nights versus drifting.
If there's an interest I'll continue working on it. So far I'm looking at one night a month $35.00 per driver and $10.00 for everyone else.
Last year I had three drifting exhibitions during our races when other tracks weren't interested.
I'm Mike the track owner. My email is Mike@Ocalaspeedway.com
Our number is 352-622-9400 if anyone has any input.
Thanks

Mike, first off I would definitely drive up there to do that event, and I'm sure my FC friends would too.....We live in Sarasota which would be an hour, and a half drive or less, but we would still go. I'm sure for the price alot of the Orlando crowd would go as well. I'm the one that is coordinating the thursday night practices at Desoto, Unfortunately the turn out is slim to none, however that is because it's on a thursday night. Desoto is going to have their first Friday NIght event on August 24, so we will see how that does. I think you should do it, because Saturday night= no work on sunday and people would still come for more practice, even if OSW, Desoto, Ter-tech, and everybody else had stuff going on.

its an hour north of tampa.

took me and Noah like 3 hours to get from ocala to port charlotte speedway. iirc.

but yea, a bit of a haul.

There are plenty of us in Jacksonville that would make the trip.

Please, just set a date for the first one. A Sat. Night event: yea, Im ready to go.

The track is 3/8 mile BANKED paved tri oval w/ a fig. 8. Front stretch looks to be about 3-4 cars wide (I'll measure tomorrow). About 1hr 15 min north of Orlando. Half an hour south of Gainesville. Oh, I'm working with track owner Mike to setup this program.
