Sr questions.

The engine has low comp in cyl.3 It is a red top sr20det. has a top mount garret disco potato. s15 sr injectors. and im getting all the intercooler piping (but it is for an s14 and i have an s13 will it fit?). a tial wastegate. a spare sr block and head. ecu, harness. basically everything. and he wants 2000. by the way the engine does run jus has low comp like i said and blows a lil smoke out of the oil cap if u take it off. is this worth it. I think it is tempting, but its always good to get a second opinion.
 
NOPE.

because low compression in one cylinder means bad things. If the cylinder walls are scored, then it has to be bored and new pistons have to be fitted along with an entire engine disassembly.

Id rather have an engine that was running good from the start, not to mention the blowing up of that engine could have hurt other components.

I dont like it.

Do we have to go through this again???? What they I tell you... $1950.00 plus tax and 30 day warranty. So my questions is are you ready to do it ? or do you want to buy something that you don't even know where it has been??? and may have problems...
 
yeah that is what i thought. Actually moe I Just wanted to know because I know someone who might be interested in this for a future project. I just wanted to see some feedback on what other people thought. Dont worry moe when you get your shipment ill be there. by the way thanks for the feedback.

Definitely.

Not to mention the fact that a Disco Potato crap and a 2871r makes 100x more sense on every level.
 
It would fit an s13. some work would have to be done on the harness, but s14 sr in s13 has been done plenty.

Im leaning towards NOT getting it, BUT what are the compression numbers???
 
i dunno im not gonna tell u what to do all im gonna say is i just bought a clip from gt japanese engines and i got alot of extras and i only paid 3200 witch is what most shops would charge you for just the front clip alone heres some pics of all the stuff....
i got the front clip with redtop
s13 panles in mint condition as you can see
the subframe with the LSD sittin there
a echaust the stuff i cant tell you thats in those boxes
the front seats
the carpets the rear buper
i would have got the rear trunk and silvia garnish but like an idiot i told her to keep em cause i have a hatch
i got the taillights too
hmm i got to think i got so much stuff man i was like a 6 yr old in toys r us lol so w/e do whats you think is right :bigthumbu
