sr20 and cooling

i just had a couple questions about the sr swap and cooling...


First I have a great fan which is always engaged, seems to do the trick but is there anything while doing the swap that doesnt make the gauge read properly? If so, is there any modifications to where it can?

it should read fine as long as long as you wire the interior side of the harness correct, http://www.frsport.com/SR20DET-Swap-Engine-Harness-Wiring-Diagram-Guide-SR-SR20_t_26.html that site has all the info on rewiring the harness. If your really worried or just want to be able to know the actual temp your running at just get a autometer gauge or anther similar after market gauge that tells actual temp.

Aftermarket water temp is best cause it has numbers...
My sr never passes 180 f

if u just did an sr swap n the guage says its over heating it could be that u didnt chance the coolant temp sensor to a ka one, the one that goes to the cluster not the ecu
