SR20 Swap Questions! Gurus Help PLZ!

Yo!

So, I have a couple of questions about the SR20 project we decided to tackle.
This hose here goes connected to what looks like the b-pipe:

Now the problem is we unhooked the steering link or what not and that hose goes to a metal pipe connected to the downpipe, so... that's in the way. What the hell do we do?
I mean even if we were to pull the entire motor back out and hook it up before we dropped it, it would hit it and quite possibly damage it. Here's a shot of it from beneath the car:

Another thing, that hose that's cut in half in the first pic goes connected to what looks like some form of JDM EGR or some shit... what is it that it goes connected to? Do we NEED to have it on the car?
Any help, tricks, or tips would be greatly appreciated :bigthumbu
Aside from that, all else seems to be going well.

You have to remove it from the elbow and get an AIV hole plug. Heavythrottle.com sells them but there are other places that sell it. Otherwise get an aftermarket turbo elbow which flows much better. You dont need that at all.

take it off cut the pipe off use the nut and a nickel...ittl work perfect.....

i think the hose goes to that pvc thing the T one on the drivers side of the valve cover

Do we need the T piece? It looks like an EGR or something and has a couple of small vaccuum lines going to it and that fatter hose that's cut in the first pic. What do we cut? The entire pipe from where it connects to the downpipe? Where does the nickle and nut go? On the egr looking thing I take it?

unbolt the pipe the rubs.....cut the pipe slip the nut off of it....and put a nickel in the hole and put that nut back i forgot wtf goes on with that hose...mybad

Does the car need this to run, also, that hose goes connected to this here device (NOTE: This has 3 hoses coming out of it, the one he's holding it by which I don't know where it goes, the one underneath that, about the same width, which is the one that's cut that connects to the B-pipe, and a small thing yellow vaccuum line that looks like it goes to the device on the pic below this one:

AND! Where the fuck does this mount up and I think the vaccuum line from here goes to the device posted above:

Oh and one more thing, if anyone has a stock as fuck SR20... I'm talking... stock SMIC, stock mounted everything, please take some pics of how the intercooler goes mounted, where the pipes run through the chassis, and those two things I listed above as well... thanks.

bro imo you are grossly underprepared for this motor swap, i suggest more research.
there is a hole in your chassis for the smic, it has to be expanded, it even is dimpled out where you should cut. just look for it.

were that big intake box under the fender well went is were your side mount is gonna bolt up to plus 1 hole in the top and you have to make the hole for the i/c piping bigger in the fender well post pics so i can point them out

I looked and looked and couldn't find it. Figured if one hole was there the other hole would be too. We did it the easy way, went barn hunting (which we couldn't do in Miami) and found a fmic from some guy's old wrecked 240 and he let it go for $20, went out and got some piping made for $20 and VOILA, $40 FMIC. We cut new holes for the FMIC to go in and relocated the battery to the rear with a box that was given to us by the local Autozone, lol...
Wiring's nearly done and everything else is in place and ready to roll.

Ok i want to know if anyone can help me with my question plz.
right now i have a Ka24 Single cam with a 5-speed tranny.
ok now im going to be dropping a SR20det soon.
heres my question........
would i need to go with a new tranny for the swap or will my 5-speed tranny from the single cam fit right?
Any kind of informatiuon would be very helpful at this point thank you
