I would think any one of the FWD SR20DE's that had the same specs as Your RWD one would work since the engines would be the same. only thing I could see that you would have to do is get the pinout for your harness and the pinout for the FWD ECU and make sure that to pins are in the same place. If any pins were in different places you could just switch them at the connector and then you'd be set. I haven't messed with those engines before but I think it would work that way, maybe if some one else has more info that's messed with the engines before but besides the distributor being in a different place their basically the same engine as far as every thing else goes right?

trust me on this nissan is a bitch with ECUs, find out the year make n model of the car the motor came out of, cause even if it plugs up the pin outs will be diferent specially OBD1 to OBD2, ignition sequence may be different, RPM,TPS,MAF signals could be pinned out differently. and then you would go through a ton of BS trying to get it to work.

Yea cause I was thinking the same thing, as long as the ECU is made to run a engine with the same specs and the main connector is the same then the only thing you should have to do is the tedious task of verifying that each pin is the same and swapping around any that were in different places. Other wise I don't see why it shouldn't work.
