Sr20det Swap Battery Current Draw!!!

Hello Everyone,

I wanted to know how many of you are experiencing a "current draw" for example:

-You go to start your car and there is not enough battery power to crank you car.

- You drive home, park your car and leave it overnight and find out next morning you battery is dead.

I'm experiencing a bettery current draw and wanted to know if anybody else is experiencing the same problems.

Post up your concerns and if any other electrical issues that you are experiencing post them up.

i was on my z , but it was because i closed the circuit for the horn by mistake , i had no horn just the wires....fixed it . you know how to do a draw test? it would be a good idea to do an alternator output test. check your battery ground , people usually just check the positive side.

moe check your chassis to see if it has current my supra if you conected a fluke meter to it and touched anything metal on the car it always had a current. come to find out it was my power antenna shorting into my car. It took me a good montha and a hlaf of going over all the wires in the car to figure that out

Moe I have the same thing going on in my car, i've just haven't had time to figure it out. I thinking it's because I wired my oil pressure gauge into the clock on my cluster like a tard. I'm goona re-wire it tomorrow and see if that does it. Let us know what you find.

start pulln fuses! pull 1 fuse check for a draw, if its still there but the fuse back in and try another one. when u pull the fuse and the draw goes away u have isolated the area of the draw, then start tracen wires. pull out that chassis wiring diagram and go at it! good luck

+1 on what paul said. it could also be a light somewhere you cant see being left on, like in the trunk or glove box.

ahhh okay, I agree, everytime someone says my name I think it needs to be quoted. Thank you for the proper respect sir!

I've been having the same problem on my car. Drive it,park it and the next morning I gotta find someone to jump it

Have you done a current draw test? You need to know how many amps your battery is drawing out.

Depending on the amp you could start desconecting fuses and figuring out what is causing the current draw.
