stiff stock springs

What are you running 245's on? An s13? If that is the case then you are going to rub even worse when you lower the car, despite the fact the the new springs will be stiffer. You will need to either roll you fenders or run smaller tires. I would say do both. Unless your running 300+whp you dont need such a wide tire...

thnx for the suggestion. this was my first descent answer. :bigthumbu

you know where i could roll my fenders and how much would it cost me?

There is a tool to do it, i think gsracer has it. Or you just heat up the area your going to roll with either a heat gun or torch and just hammer the lip up and flush. Then if you need to pull it for extra clearance use a bat or pipe and pull it out. If you need help just pm me..

Do what Kleen555 said but yeah those spring stiffners will work but i dont recomend it. i had blown shock on stock springs and my car would roll like a bitch and eat up the side of my tires. i bought those stifners at discount auto parts for like 6 buck and they worked a lil(i still had blown shocks) what they do is wedge between the midle of the spring so that the spring wont compress as much. just save your money and get springs.

For stiff springs I'd suggest Tanabe GF-210s. They'll lower your care like an 1" and a 1/2 but they'll definately be stiff w/ it's high spring rate. After a while you can switch to coilovers. Make sure when you look at spring rates when you look for springs. Just a suggestion.

TANABE GF210
Spring Rate - F : 2.9
Spring Rate - R : 2.7
Ride Height - F : -1." to -1.6"
Ride Height - R : -.6" to -1"

Those Tanabes are real stiff, huh? Tanabe makes the softest springs ever. Anyway, seems like the AGX/MR combo is a really good idea to start off with. After a while you can upgrade to coilovers.

not even a full click stiffer......why bother?

You guys need to ride some Cusco coilovers. My friend had some on his S13, and the ride was a back breaker. The rates must have been 10/8.
