stock sleeves question

ok guys im having my sr built and im trying to get 500 to 550hp over time. i got everything needed so far in the bottom end only thing we didnt think about doing is the sleeves. i hear the stock sleeves will hold up and i heard they wont hold up. i dont have the money for me to put sleeves in. think i can get away without doing the sleeves or should i try and get the upgraded sleeves.

like i said ill most likely run 400 450hp at first after i get the rest of my mods needed ill be looking to go higher. should my stock oem sleeves be ok?

thanks guy.

they said if it was his motor he would do it. so hes not saying that i do or that i dont. i spoke to a few people and they all say ill be fine on stock sleeves with 500hp. so ill leave them in there for now.

He's saying to do them because why the hell, if everything is all out right now, would you risk having to rip the motor back out when you need sleeves just to save a little money. Do it right or not at all.

bro re sleeve it, its good insurance plus its brand new and doesnt have thousands of miles of wear and tear on them.

Ppl put down 500-550 without sleeves. I would do sleeves just to sleep better at night..

and with a stock end? s14 :O? same stuff?

I have no idea what you ment, but if you mean stock bottom it will be at your own risk, It can be done but it is at its limits at 500hp, your trying to push this motor 3x what it was built for.

what the hell you need 500hp for anyway???

but i suggest re-sleeve it. the cost of that should be a drop in the bucket compared to the amount of money you have yet to sink in to this thing...
