so me and a friend are trying to go in together and build a drift car, i drive a miata that would be perfect to use but its my daily. so no go on that unfortunately. anyways we found a miata shell, the plan is cut springs, welded dif, some sweet homemade exhaust. any advice? is the plan horrible?
 
cut springs suck, welded diff is horrible for daily but if its just a drifter then who cares, and the exhaust is insignificant. you have a lot bigger things to think of then springs and exhaust if you want to bring a "shell" to a drift car
 
these people dont care....street sliding is as far as any of these people will go. and i really dont understand, there are so many coilover companies, i could understand if this was 1995 and there werent any after market companies but damn.... thats all i have to say.

yea coils r nice but if u dont have the $ then cut of heat them i slide my car just fine on heated springs i got drop springs and thay suck havent got to drift on them yet but ill c how they r sunday. :bigthumbu
 
dude cut springs suck huge ass! i had them on my s14 and i couldnt drive my car without gettting a back ache and a head ache so i just got coils and its amazing. smooth drive and handles great. DEF invest in coilovers
