i just finished dropping and starting my new sr20det motor today after 4 straight days of workin on it, with the great help of family and friends (sergio/ miami 200sx), (pablo/ rulez of enertia), (adrian/ Alemus3) and (abraham/ boosted koukie). the car runs and sounds great just a few minor things to finish up and it's ready for the moroso event, im on crunch time to get it all done b4 the event and im confident ill make it, thanks to all the help ive gotten. the only problem im having now is a lil bit of overheating, should i just remove the thermostat and run it straight or replace it??? thanks in advance guys, see u at the event!!! :bigthumbu :bigthumbu :bigthumbu :) :D :bigthumbu :laugh:

Appears to me that he also painted the engine bay black.
 
thanks a lot to everyone. it hasnt been easy but well worth it forsure! any anyone need any help swapping in the future gimme a call or contact me through PM's its good to have sum help around... TRUST ME!!! and yes the painters tape worked great while i was taking the old KA out and putting the new SR in, no scratches, no greasy fenders, and while i was painting my engine bay!
 
forsure ill be out in moroso dude, im number 34 on the list! i just need help from anyone who might know how or wat do i use to plug the steering rack where the P/S hard lins connect to on the rack??? if anyone can help me out i would greatly appriciate it, thanks in advance
 
Why are you plugging it? Going to manual steering? If so, just buy a plug or bolt that fits the threads and hole. Or if there arnt threads... make them.
 
And I will add I think we borke the record on the longest and hardest sr swap ever....Laying the Sr in the engine was a pain in the ass for us....We did a few thngs wrong which we noticed once the freaking thing got stuck....lol.....
^ was it like 30 minutes to lay it in perfectly?
 
YOYOYO!!! the cars running and i drifted it for the first time tonight! woohoo!!! i got a lil vid to post up, ill post it asap. it was the first time i drifted it and i took off powersteering so it's a lil hard getting used to but i got the hang of it now AND THE TIRES ARE SHITTY!!! lol
