Suspension wont drop?

hey everyone,

I tried lowering my car today, and my suspension wont go down any more??? I have 18's on and there is about 1.5 inches between the top of the tire and the fender. Like, thats a big gap, and I see people with cars with 17's or 16's slammed? why won't mine go down anymore? Like, can it really not go down anymore??/

I have tein Super Drifts... Duno if that helps..

It always rides hard as hell,

But yeah, the spring is pretty compessed, if I loosen it will the car be able to go down more?

see the threaded shock body...... Notice how they are threaded into the lower mount portion of the coilover. Well in the rear you have to unbolt the rear mount, undo the lock nut, thread the lower mount so you shorten the total height of the unit. Reinstall. For the front, undo the lock nut on the lower mount, then on top of the coilover there is a 3\4in nut. Use a ratchet to turn it and i think that will do it. I set mine over a year ago....... and i have not played with teins.

all you did was compress the spring preload.

and im sorry to hear and your coilovers are hard as hell.

No. Loosen the peice on the very bottom. The bottom hat thingy right above C. The two on top are the preload ones to adjust your spring.

Rick I think he allready did that and it's still too high. he hasnt messed with the preload yet.

no he just adjusted preload. There is no way his car has 1.5" of gap inbetween the tire and the fender if he is out of adjustement on the shock body.

yes, I haven't touched the pre-load.

The threads wont go down anymore.

Maybe Teins just suck....Stance pwns all.

Ouch, actually JIC majic pwns all. but those are like.. 40000000000 dollars.

hold on, I'm uploading a picture of it

Ok the red S14, this is the most recent pic I have, that is as low as it will go, there is about a 1.2-1.5 inch gap.

what teh fuck. take a picture of your coilover.

spray some pb blaster or wd40 on the threads before you move em around, its easier. There is no way you can be out of threaded shock body adjustment.

Maybe that is as low as you can go...When Josh and I first put my Stance on the exhaust was scraping on the ground...we raised it up and I was still tucking 16's
