Hi people i'm sorta worried becuase sometimes my car likes to blow white smoke. Don't think it's the headgasket because compression is good all across. I think its bad seals on the turbo. It's a blacktop sr so my question is: will this smoke cause any damage to the motor or turbo? I don't have money to buy a new turbo and this car is my daily so I need to figure this out :(.

just get another turbo easier and t25's are cheap as hell
 
Smoking turbo = burning up oil, make sure you keep and eye on the level.

It def needs to be replaced, or it could lock up.

This, although doubtful, because if the turbo is smoking, at least you know its being oiled, lol. It won't hurt the motor though.
 
as much as they smoke it burns very little oil. My car was smoking constantly pouring oil smoke on or off throttle and could barely notice a change in level on the dipstick. Just buy a t28 and continue riding. There so much nicer to drive on.
 
^true story, i just bought one, im waiting to put it on now cuz my t25 smokes
 
How do you know its you t25 anyway ?

If its white smoke it could be the headgasket, if it is blueish white then it means oil is burning, you did not specify...In that case where it is coming from you can't be sure.

correct me if i am wrong guys.... It can be the actual head....worst case scenario.
I have this problem with my redtop. Mine happens on and off, mostly on these days. I still have my shitty t25 and it only happens at stops...so i am guessing it is the turbo.

When do you have this problem? At a stop light in traffic after the car has reached optimum temp ? Or do you have it al the time?

yeah its white smoke (not bluish). Not the head gasket (did compression test not to mention it only happens at stops not while driving). Temp really doesnt matter it does it when it feels like it.

so if I get a t28 will my car do sick early entries and go bra bra piisshh skkiiirrr and purple h.i.d's everywhere like yours:p?

also, I hear a wierd whine in my engine bay and I don't know if it's the turbo or my shitty ass fuck freddy bov. the sound will sometimes come up and then when I accelerate it goes away. You guys think its the bove staying semi stuck open?

Does anyone know if I buy this turbo: http://www.enjukuracing.com/isis-rs3360-turbo-nissan-sr20det-p-9084.html will I have to upgrade other shit, or can I just run stock everything and be fine (injectors maf)? I think this turbo is cheap and ISIS makes good chit

it says it requires:

90 degree 2.00-2.25" Coupler - For hotpipe got that
ISIS Intake Kit - SR20DET S13 or Z32 MAF no need
45 Degree 2.25"-2.75" Coupler - For intake kit got that
ISIS Turbo line kit eehhh
ISIS Turbine Outlet O2 Housing - Nissan SR20DET S13/S14 - makes install much easier got that

Personally I don't know anyone that has used an isis turbo......but i say go for it, as you said they make ok stuff. You pretty much got everything for the install. I don't hink you have to upgrade anything because the s14 sr come with a ball bearing t28. the maf isn't too different injectors are the same.

Let me know how it goes...I might get on if it works fine.
