Ok on my dads car which is a 96 nissan 240sx. Which is stock. The tail lamp fuse keeps popping I've been trying to locate where there could b a short but nothing I was wondering if mayb anyone on here can help me try n figure this out to where to possibly look or solve this problem. Would an aftermarket radio cause this? The radio has been in for quiet some time. So I'm kinda stump. I hate electrical stuff. If u can help me out I would appreciate it.

Man I had the same problem in my hatch and never found the problem so what I did was hook them up directly to a switch. Gl

had the same problem on my dads car, we still cant locate the short so we ran a wire on the fuse itself to keep it from poppin

I had this same problem for months.. Turned out to be corrosion behind my fuse box.. Just put it in some baking soda, and get all the corrosion off, and boom it should work, if thats the problem of course. Check the brake light switch too on the pedal.

tru n i just been googling now everyone that has had this problem has been mainly cuz of the radio imma check it tomorrow. thanks

my sis boyfriend had this problem and it turned out to be the wire for the for the license plate bulbs was chaffing on the body and shorting out

Marco had that problem. if im not mistaken , there were some wires exposed in his wheel well that were contacting and shorting out the fuse for his running lights.
