test pipe? or cat?

i just bought a new exhaust and i didnt even relize that it didnt come with the cat. not im not sure what i should go with a test pipe or a high flow cat? anyone use those high flow cats? are they just as good as a test pipe? and the other part of the problem is that i got a 3 inch cat back, but i have the hotshot headers, do i need to get a reduced cat or is the outlet on the hotshot 3 inches too? im not sure?
 
run a cat. the car will be very obnoxious without it. i have the cat on mine with 3 in piping from there on. and it sounds nice
 
yeah i was thinking the cat so the car wasnt so loud. but i wasnt sure if i wanted my car to be quite. haha. just kidding i guess yeah i am going to go with the cat. but what about the issue with the hot shot header and the 3 inh piping? do you have headers too emilo?
 
if you car is na run a cat if you want it quiet if its turbo run a test pipe......i personally always use a test pipe na or not
 
i have a gutted cat. bought the car with it on there. but i have read that a gutted cat causes more resestance due to the turbalnce created inside of one. besides im just not going to do something like that, whatever i do will be clean.

the owner of hotshot headers has retired, only a couple to choose from now, obx and dc sports dont know any otheres off the top of my head, obx bang for buck, dc probly better deisgn and carb approved
 
ah i am going to run the cat, cause yeah, gota be nice to mother earth. i already have the hot shot header i just wasnt sure of the outlet size on that header, i think that its 2.5 so then do they sell cat that goes from 2.5 to 3? thats if the hot shot is 2.5 im not sure thats what i have been trying to figure out.
