i have 1 KA and 2 SR just head and block for all 3 what should be built up ever one loves SR cause turbo ready but heard KA is a monster when built right so im at a stump what to do
i'd say SR with KA tranny.. longer gears better for you in top end just like a KA. but SR is more for quicker acceleration depends how much power your looking for!
How extreme are you talking about building this shit? KA's can make up to 1000hp as seen on KA-T.org. SR's can make good power fully built but not nearly as much as fully built KA-T's. For the money I say build the SR they are already ready for boost so to achieve a solid 350-400 it will be cheaper than a KA. The plus side to KA's is they are torquey being that they are originally a truck motor. Is your KA a dual cam or single slammer. That will be the determining factor.

btw, KA and SR trannies ARE FUCKING IDENTICAL....with the exception of double syncro into second gear only being on sr trannies
