the next countyline needs to have a real mc

the guy wants to feel useful, so he gets the mic.... but in reality man who cares, i am there to drift not to listen to the owner talk... all the other events we have been to, OSW/OCALA/OCCC/WPB/MOROSO there is no one announcing.... Most of the time i am not even listening i am out there improving myself and having fun.... I dont see why the drama about a new MC...

exactly, I think we all agree It would be nice. Of course! But like rob said, The mic is the only thing that owners got, and he has a good times on it, even if we sometimes cant stand it. You guys are out there doing what you love, and thats what should matter. No other event has an MC. Were lucky there is even a mic there. Thats how I feel I guess.

The way i see is like watching basketball, baseball or boxing; Do you really need to hear the comentator to figure out what is happening? NO.....

well some people do, remember bro not everyone who come out to these events are drifters. and plus its a big difference in experience from watching those games from your couch via your 30 inch hd tv too actually being there center row in the best seats in the crowd utlizing all of your five senses.

but for us its does and should matter. know one should receive props for taking some one else sick line or an ill dirt drop, simply if credit is due it should go to the right person.
ie. thats like me taking credit from slide-ways-for-five-days, at this point this could/should never happen.

The bigger picture i am looking at is if the crowd is taken care of, that means bigger events, more spectators, more money for the track owner which in turns could be use to bettering the track, lights for night events and the wish list goes on.
plus its a chance to separate this event from all the others in Florida, like setting a new bar in sfldrifters history.

Did Hialeah had a PA system? Does moroso have a drift by drift announcer? does OSW has an announcer? None of the other veneus we have been to had someone comentating. I truly see no reason to this thread, the owner can call my car a 1908 model T as long as i am getting seat time i am cool with it. Like tony said is a practice event, if it was a competition it would be diff story. But for now let the owner have his fun with the mic, he wants to be in the action, he wants to feel important... let him do it..

but a good announcer brings a good venue, so spectators do come and make the sport bigger.
If im driving, i dont care for the announcer aswell, but when im a spectator, and the announcer doesn't know what the hell hes talking about, makes the sport look bad, and we dont want that!

your right about those events, but nothing is wrong with a lil change to this formula. but if god ever should grace one our events with someone who is high known and respecting in drifting, i rather not have the event have a sense of misrepresentation.

over all i just think it would be fun and entertaining. from the spectator and pit side of the event.

honestly thats not a bad idea....being a spectator is getting a lil boring sometimes...and besides that owner is mad annoying!

like guillermo last time he was the announcer he got bored... erick did a good job, the aeroK guys were good...

if taking the mic from pete is the issue, then thats no problem, i already spoke to him last event. so like i said, if im not driving the next countyline event, which hopefully i will be, ill do the announcments.

I don't see why spectators even exist at practices. The way I see it, if you're there to watch people practice, you should understand what you're getting into. Do people show up to soccer practices and expect to hear a commentator, have concessions, and get to kick the ball around with the players? I guess its all about money which in the end is a good thing for the drivers. Or not. IDK. I'd pay extra to not have a circus at a drift practice.

QFT...........
Wait Tony you are wrong we need to have announcers.......

well i see it as not only will the announcer entertain the crowd. give some credit to who did who wrong... and also it shows tells the crowd who DOESNT know about drifting. WE in the forum know. some ppl just decide to show up to c wats going on. Do we want or names mistaken no. HELL NA! and really it dont cost anything to the track owner to give the mic off for a few. someone should sue him for harrasing grls! lmao jp.

did you guys remember that homestead drift show off.... thats how many of us experienced our first taste of drifting.... and guess what they did not have an announcer...lol.... wow...
