.. when your oil pump dies.
Most of the damage was done to my head after I ran it with no oil pressure. As best I know.. I didn't hear any rod knock. But here is the damage to the head.
My rocker arms were pretty scarred. As well as the cams but I didn't get a shot of those.
Here is my new set of rockers next to my old set.

Here are some tips to prime your lifters before reinstalling them.
You need to bleed them and I found the easiest way was to stick a thin rod down the upper portion of the lifter and compress it while submerged.
You can see some of the nasty oil coming out. For good measure I was bleeding out the oil, then bleeding out the air twice to get rid of the junk oil.
Here she is back together.
