Well right now i have the Canon EOS Rebel XT, i still have the same 18-55 MM lens and looking to get into drifting shots. I feel kinda sketched about buying off amazon, so was wondering if you would buy it or give me some advice to buy it or not to.

Alright thanks, i just feel sketched about it, but i'll go ahead and get one ordered :)

Bought my grip, hard case (large item), filters, and other misc accessories off Amazon....it's about as legit as eshopping goes. Make sure your item is sold by Amazon or reputable company. I believe regular Joe Shmoes can sell on Amazon but I've never been in that scenario so I'm not sure.

Why don't you get this though?

it's only a little bit more and it's not a third party lens....just saying. I don't know the specs/reviews on either lens so I'm really just talking out of my ass...I just like stick with the brand of camera you have.

Why by then? Just to sell and upgrade?

Is it worth it though?

I honestly don't know which one is better. Do some research and see if you can find some reviews on them. Amazon has reviews at the bottom.

I suggest buying used if you are just doing it as a hobby or just starting out doing it as a way to make money. Most of my walk around lenses are used (28-80 macro, 24-120mm, and even my 80-200 2.8). In my opinion if it's a good quality lens and it was taken care of it will still be a good quality lens. I'm sure my lenses will last me through many bodies to come.

Well i really just wanna get a bigger Lens so i can cover drift stuff, because im going to events this summer and one in April, so ill be going to at least 5 or 6 events here soon, and i still have my 18-55 MM, and i use that for my stance photos, and i know 18-55 can not zoom in good enough for drifting shots lol, so for now just looking to get a bigger one

Idk if that was directed towards me but I'm selling it because i don't shoot much and I'm going to end up selling the camera

yeah, amazon is legit.
I've literally bought everything for my camera from it.
Just an opinion- if you're only looking at 55-200's I'd go ahead and buy the canon. Just because it's not third party like was said. The only third party lens I own is my sigma 70-200 f/2.8 which was a pretty reasonable buy ($700) since the nikon version is super expensive. Might as well buy canon while you can, and it's not much of a price difference I don't think. I paid a little over $100 for my nikon 55-200.
