whats up guys. i got this hatch im working on with a 96 ka and it wont start so im a lil lost. i just recently changed the maf an hour ago and it ran fine while driving. as soon as i parked it, it died and hasn't started since. now it just keeps turning over and putts like it wants to start. ive checked all fuses and relays, fuel pump is working. regulator is new as well as fuel filter. timing is fine and so are the vacuum lines. a friend of mine mentioned i should adjust my TPS sensor.. but i wasn't aware you could even do that. any advice or input is appreciated.

thx

so everything was working fine until you put a different maf on? maybe try a different maf and see if that solves the problem?

no its wasnt starting at all. i picked up the maf today at 7pm... plugged it in and it started right up. now after a few test drives to see if it would rev past 2k (which it did) i believed everything was fine. as i pulled in it died so now im at a loss. im thinking a possible failure with the maf pigtail... ?

correct me if im wrong but i think the car would still start with a bad tps.. i can unplug mine and it still runs , just not as good throttle response..

and yeah you loosen the 2 bolts and turn it and read voltage from the signal one. if i remember clearly its supposed to be at .45?

yeah your right its .45

I dont think the MAF will stop a car from starting (running yeah) but I could be wrong.

You need to figure out which one you dont have spark/fuel/ignition and go from there I think.

will i thought the same thing until i changed the maf the first time and then it started. looks like its back to basics then. im gonna check dizzy and see what i find

Get a Honda you will be fine with that.

you got one for sale?

check ur spark and fuel pressure just cause ur pump is priming doesn't mean ur getting good pressure with the key on u should be around 40. also check to make sure all your wires are going to the right place on the MAF nothing crossed or in the wrong spot blah blah blah and check the connections as well.

maybe check connections to dizzy too as well as the dizzy itself

Im sorry I don't live on this forum I come on every so often I really could give two fucks if its a 3 week bump. Im just trying to help the dude out soooo shut ur mouth no one wants to hear your 2 cents thanks

Whoa there tiger.... Take it down a couple levels.

If the problem is fixed then no need to bump. If its not fixed the op would bump it for an update...

Why all the hostility

no hostility i just dont want to be bitched at because i bumped something.

i didnt see any solution so i figured hey why not throw in some suggestions for the guy thats all and then u come in with "two week old bump?" when u could have just left it alone....jus sayin thats all
