I have some time on my hands and wanted to go through a trade school. Auto collision repair or welding? I know that they teach you a little bit of welding in the collision course but besides that. Can't decide which course that I want to go through first so I figured I would get some advice from a couple of you that might have gone through either of them. Thanks guys.

Take everything.

Auto collision is a good field and it will touch on mig welding, but a baby can learn that.

Welding is a very good, precision tig welding or stick welding is the way to go.

and it's also nice to know automotive.

I can do everything, I took classes in auto, paint/body and welding.

It's fun being able to do it all, plus you can make some extra money on the side.

First? I'd do welding. I love welding.

^Appreciate the advice man, I plan on taking both. The welding course is in my home town but I would have to travel for the collision repair. Thats one thing making the decision a little harder. I could always go to the collision repair out of town then when I finish, try to get a job related to that back home and be attending the welding at the same time but I just can't make up my mind. Sometimes it just helps to step back and view other's opinions. Thanks again.

THIS^

Ive completed autocollision and mechanics, and now I'm taking welding.

Welding is where the money's at though. Welding will open a whole new world for you.

Do it all you won't regret it.
