tranny problem

hey guys so today i woke up to a weak clutch i felt like it barely had any pressure. and as i drive away (still in my neighborhood) the clutch gave out. i press the clutch and goes straight to the bottom and doesnt come up. there no pressure what so ever. yesterday i drove the car perfectly fine with no problems. anyone have ideas?

its seems one of ur cylinders may have went or the clutch went

hehe, i highly highly doubt that the clutch went bad just like that...

Check your clutch master reservoir to see if there is any fluid, if not, you prolly have a leak and that will need to be addressed prior to topping off the fluid and bleeding the clutch.

If it does already have fluid in the reservoir, you prolly have a bad slave cylinder and that will need to be replaced in order to fix the problem.

Aside from that, i can only imagine things like... the slave cylinder or clutch fork falling out, lol, which i highly doubt as well.

slave!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it sprung a leak !!!!!!!!!
yea my tranny gives me problems too, when that happens i just bitch slap him and say "who's ur daddy?!" problem solved.

ok so i already replaced the slave and nothing the clutch pedal is still dead.......any ideas what could be the cause of this?? my pedal is lifeless

is there fluid??????? if theres fluid then u must bleed the system. If it never gets any press then replace master very simple.

you were supposed to check things before you replace them. could also be a rupture somewhere in the line.

also make sure you know how to bleed the clutch correctly. its a pain in the ass and takes a while.

Correction, He said it has fluid, so its not an external leak

its a pain in the ass and takes a while.

It is NOT a pain in the ass, and it hardly takes any time at all... just have one person pump the pedal then hold it down while you open the bleeder. Close the bleeder and repeat till the pedal is solid. if the pedal doesnt get solid, then replace the master cylinder.

^:p
i move my seat up, pump it, grab a pipe and jam it between the edge of my seat and the pedal, open/close valve and repeat. i did it successfully for my miata and rx7. so you sir can kiss my ass.

lol you guys crack me up, well there no external leak and knowing how to bleed it right isnt an issue....when i went tobleed it it still had no pressure or wouldnt build pressure..as a matter of fact the old slave i think still even works i was playing with it and pumping it to squirt the remaining brake fluid that was in it. so it needs to be somthing else, like i said the day befor this happened the car was working perfectly and when i was on my way to school it just crapped out on my exiting my neighborhood

your clutch master went bad change it

this just happened to me. before you go changing the master, bypass the dampener block if you still have it.
