well with a performance tune, you can expect to see fuel mileage gains of 2-4mpg. and its extremely reliable.

awesome, well our shop duramax with the 100rwhp tune gets 18.5 mpg and it runs a 14 flat at the strip.

What happened to the ranger lol? The chevy is the quietist diesel I've evere heard so I would go with the chevy.

lies. do your research. the 7.3l from 99-03 falls apart underneath you, the 6.0L from 03-07 blows headgaskets and intercoolers constantly! ford has updated their ecu calibration software 5 times a month for the past 6 years, and still cant get it right. They finally got something goin in 08 with their 6.4L, but it has a DPF filter on the exhaust (regulated by epa) which causes horrible fuel consumption.

ive never heard anything about the old 7.3, its probably one of the best diesels out there next to the cummins. the 6.0s are hit and miss and not that great. no opinion on the duramax since ive enver dealt with it

Yea considering I have only heard good things about the 7.3 power stroke... I dunno.. Im still looking around and trying to find a bank that will finance an older truck..Every where I have called said they only finance 04+

Just weren't built well at all IMO

about 9 out 10 blow headgaskets and intercooler piping. Ford has a huge recall on studding the motors to keep them from blowing again

Well if you have to go with an 04+ then its chevy all the way. The ford powerstroke 6.0 sucks.

I'm not sure what I'm doing yet. I'm looking for a small mom and pops dealership that finance.. so well see what happens.

i worked for a dodge dealer for about a year and i can tell you they arnt easy to work on and the trannys suck for towing. My brother has a f350 now and its alot easier to work on and i can two a two car trailer like nothing. I personally like the looks of the dodge better but for drivability and reliability id go with the ford.
