okay on that one supra that the guy was selling for

2.REBUILT TITLE
3.N/A NOT EVEN TT :(
then he had some gauge RICER style from what people said.

like im not really hating on the guy i guess lol
um i just wanted to know why did he have a boost gauge if he wasnt even running boost? ive seen it before i just want to know why do they do that for :confused:

When you start your car and the gauge goes into the negative reading, its not positive pressure, thats not considered boost guys...Negative pressure readings gives u an idea of how well your piston rings seal, in turn giving you a rough idea if you have good compression or what...Every1 knows that between 18-22" of mercury on a gauge is ideal for any engine.

Before you reply to posts you should read the question in full...He asked why they use a boost gauge in N/A Applications...Tell me how the fuck you read boost in an N/A vehicle smart guy.

^ Correct

"Negative Pressure" is just a technical term for Vacuum.

As for the question, if it was a boost gauge then it would read nothing because the needle has a stop pin to keep it from going back past zero, more than likely it was just for looks. If it was a vacuum/boost gauge then it would offer the use of reading vacuum but the boost aspect would never do anything. And if it was just a vacuum gauge... well you get the idea.

most if not all BOOST/VAC gauges ONLY say BOOST which is prob what the op saw, so to answer him they are used to read vacuum

don't beat around the bush dude...Point i'm trying to make is i'm correct...If you have no input what so ever then don't knock other peoples knowledge...Shut your pie hole and read you might learn a thing or 2.
