This past weekend Countyline held what proved to be an event full of surprises. The first and the most notable was the announcement of the Skidpad being cancelled. At first this brought frustration to drivers and spectators since this would be the third time a Skidpad session would be cancelled due to weather, but luckily the news brought a bittersweet compromise as instead of rescheduling the event, the action was going to take place at the big track instead. Not only that but the entry fees stayed the same, making it the first time drivers would pay $25 to gain access to the big track.

The third surprise involved a Formula D driver making a guest appearance courtesy of forum sponsor ESTPerformance. Fredric Aasbo was in town to prepare for the upcoming PBIR event and decided to check out the local scene once he heard an event was taking place. Driving from Orlando in a rented Toyota Yaris, Fredric took the time to speak to some of the drivers and spectators who attended the event. Funny enough some people didn't even realize who he was until he was blatantly pointed out. Unfortunately his time was limited as he had a prior engagement to tend to, but he spent enough time to go away impressed with what he saw at Countyline that day.
With such as a last minute announcement, there were concerns no one would come out or have enough tires to last through the night. The clock struck midnight and there were plenty of drivers ready to go for more runs. What Drift Sessions did in such a short amount of time has to be commended to say the least. The weather was great, drivers had plenty of seat time, and everyone for the most part had fun. It was a great night for drifting in South Florida. The only question in everyones mind at the end of the night, "When is the next big track event?"

With three Formula D drivers and a cast full of special guest stars all confirming they'll be attending the event, CFRC's "Aftermath" is shaping up to be the one for the record books. The roster currently includes The King of Spring Break Patrick Goodin, Chris "The Force" Forsberg, Ryan Tuerck, and many more. This is just a small sample of the ever increasing cast of stars CFRC has been working hard to acquire for the upcoming event.
