yeah sounds like the chain hitting the guide, or even the guide itself rattling around pull your valve cover its pretty simple. Check and make sure your chain is tight and your guide is secured.

im gonna run my car without the chain guide. im gonna take it out now. then may be im changing the chain tensioner.

can this cause your timing to be off.... like a link skipping or what... i have the same noise but it goes away once the motor warms up..... please lemme know.

idk but ive heard chains hitting timing guides and the sound it makes is alot deeper, atleast on my kas

i took my guide and the noise when away. now is not a single noise. but i think my timing is not perfect. i need to do the timming againg.. i read that nissan order to take the guide out on those motors including the ks..if u order that part from nissan they will tell u to just take the old one and dont put anything. thats true ? or not ? i will like to know if the info i have is correct!

your timing chain should not be rattling against your guide. a solution to your problem isn't to just remove the guide. check your timing and check your tensioners.

yes. im gonna take it somewhere where they can put it in times.cuz right now is not running good. i think they timing is no good. and i dont want to play with that. cuz i dont know how to do it the right way

^^ I can't even work out how many things are wrong with what you just said. you want him to adust his valve lash? then you suggest his lifters will work out there "issues"? so you realize theres nothing to adjust right? then you recommend adjusting his tps sensor?!@! I dont mean to flame but what the fuccck are you talking about.

I wish you luck.

also I did a small write up on how to bleed your lifters if you're interested in doing that as well.

Thanks u. thats a nice kit there., im prety sure that i dont have any problem with the lifters. that nose was just the chain slaping the guide..i took it out..but i recently swap that engine my self. and im not a mechanic that's why i think there is something wrong with timing. i need someone to do that for me. thanks againg
