Were do I start?

think your in the wrong forum... either way... find a super clean 91-94 240sx with no mods if possible.. and work your way up from there.. Id say all suspension and minor bolt ons to the stock twin cam.. that should be more than enough to get you started. Goodluck

do your suspension first...coilovers and all the multilink then worry about power. maybe you might want a diff even though they say open diff is the best to learn on.

So I just saw tokyo drift and..........j/k :D Yeah just do suspension and diff fuck power. It's going to be a while before you can handle it anyway.

You can start "hooking it up" after your car begs you to stop driving it so hard.

When you can outdrive what you have now, then you modify.

yeah what TJ said when the car is your limitation not your skills do you do shit although that doesnt apply to brining your car back to stock specs like shocks that work or installing polyurathane bushings those are to make it a car again

1st on my list for you is buy the full energy suspension polyurathane bushings kit and either you or a buddy of yours install them dont take it to a shop they will rape you with a pineapple without lube. then drive the swhit out of it

Polyurathane bushings and a set of Megan coilovers.

Then add a VLSD drive for a few years and only then consider power.

err I did that ass backwards...

i say suspension and lsd are the first things that should be done no matter what shit you know or have experience with. open dif to learn drifting is the stupidest thing ive ever heard.....do you thing the D1 drivers bought S13 and order the USDM dif just to learn faster.

so tired of these kinda threads........if your asking wat to do to your car.....maybe you should consider another hobbie......or......read before posting that

i see your point, but...
when my vlsd gave out and i was drifting open diff i learned more about weight transfer/momentum/inertia all that good stuff in 2 days than i had in over a year, i had to either toss the car and use the handbrake or shift lock to initiate, gave me a waayyy better 'feel for the car' than just clutch kicking every single corner did...

but to answer the kids question, and beat a dead horse...suspension, suspension, suspension.

well then everbody should swap a 13b in thier cars so you learn more about momentum then being able to use torque. i have lsd and clutch kicking is the last thing i do initiate a drift. its all about being willing to initiate the correct way for the correct turn instead of being stuck on the clutch kicking shit. you can still learn the correct ways to do it but having an lsd means you will also get to learn how to hold it.

yes, i agree with you 100%.
but i was spoonfed, i had lsd and sr20. so the first techniques i learned was clutchkicking and power-over. and with my setup they worked quite well so i never bothered trying others...until recently, i had no lsd and i was at the track yesterday and my exhaust manifold cracked, so i had zeeerroooo power. had to initiate everyting with handbrake and shiftlock.

so my advice, learn every technique that is out there(or TRY as many as possible), dont just rely on one. (most of you already know that, thats just in case theres any newbies lookin at the thread.
