hmm well 2 for sure are cooling system. rear subframe likes to rip the mounts out of the body. oh yea motor and tranny mounts also clutch. hmmmmmmmmmm lets see oh yea dont hit shit with them. they tweek everything. some people here can vouch for seeing the back of my car. also piners. they dont like to be hit in the rear.

If your a VW tech then get it all german cars are built almost the same as far as working on them, IMO there a BITCH to work on, but the aftermarket support is baddass. Reliablity isnt as good as lets say a Honda Civic or Toyota corolla, but there not as bad as people say, maintance is a bit higher but not like a ferrari.
There is not much aftermarket support for the e30 and not to many options for suspension unless you wanna spend 4g's. The cooling system is alittle stupid but I guess its because its cold in Germany and they didn't care. lol And as far as e30 vs. 240sx I think the E30 is harder to drift then a 240 because the amount of weight in front of the strut towers and Trailing Arm rear end. Check this guy out Click Here he put in a v8, moved the firewall back so the weight is behind the strut towers and replaced the e30 rear end with a M5 rear end. Don't get me wrong I'm not saying that is what you need to do to slide it. Because e30gangsta, rwdrift and BladderMaster drifted them in stock form.
The reason I picked the e30 is that i liked the way it looked, I needed a bigger interior then my rx7 and I bought it for $500. If you want something with good aftermarket support buy a 240sx but if want to slide something more original buy a cressida.:bigthumbu

Alright, all these people that have 240's and talk shit about bmw's get the fuck out. Those are not expensive to work on and those are FAR from hard to work on. I'm a fucking BMW Technician, take it from me, I deal with these cars on a daily basis. BMW's are designed to be easy to work on. PERIOD. E30....omg that shit is pure cake, when I get those in I jump for joy because they are so fucking simple. Reliabilty on those are INSANE too. I love it when people talk when they have no clue. You wanna know how many e30's come in to BMW for maintanence with over 250,000miles on them and original motor? I CANT EVEN COUNT how many, they come in all the time, running perfect. BMW motors are reliable as hell....

Car is not a M3 clone the guy who is selling it is an idiot. price is WAYYYYYY TOOO MUCH for that year car. offer $1000 the most. E30 will require a suspension for it and coilovers are around 1200 bucks not 4Gs so it is the same price range as Nissans. Propably one of the easiest cars to work on you can get access to everything easily. (since I dont know any cars that repair themselfs). Never heard of E30 dropping the rear subframe I thought that was more of an E36 problem which is easy to prevent since everybody knowsa about it.
And last but not least crash between Nissan and the BMW will result in a total destruction of Japanese sheetmetal it has been proven multible times by me alone.
And Sr20det has the worst head design in the world blows more headgaskets and overheats than any other car I've ever seen.
But to build a Competitive catr for less amount of money and work you might be better of with Nissan since you can buy everything from EBAY for $6
