Ok please excuse me since I am pretty much new into the drift scene and dont know what turf I'll be stepping on if any.......But I have been into the car show scene for over four years now and have connections enough to make things happen........either through Vision entertaiment, Valvoline and all the way to Dunlop......I am not promising anything but I'll try to do what I can if you guys are up for it........I talked to a certain guy that throws car shows down here in south florida and about the drift scene and how we need more events to happen down here.....He raised his eyebrows and looked very interseting but very doubtful becuase he doesnt know how many people would actually enter thhe events.....I pratically told him that the events we need down here are mainly practice events so that we have a place to practice without having any problems......He is very interested on how to go about doing this and start it up but he wants to get everyones opinions on about the scene and what they are looking for......But he did tell me thatwhe would need help on throwing these events which the sponsors part he can get for the events but on throwing it and showing him how it works in the events......I didnt bring up any company names but the first one to pop up in the back of my head was Ter-tech.....I know that they have been having problems throwing the events down here but doesnt hurt getting some help and seeing if we can get it going again down here.....So guys what you think? Give me some suggestions opinions? Ter-tech from your experiences what do you think about this?

I say you tell them to get one huge *** parking lot! all they need... and i mean one HUUUUGE parking lot... Put a border around it to protect the public, and thats about it. Got the space to slide around and have fun/practice, got the walls but got enough space to practice without worrying too much about the barriers.

Sponsors is the magic word, you bring the sponsors and we will rent out anything. Sponsor want to see numbers like how many drivers, spectators etc.. before they will give you a single dime, they rather give you products which don't help you to pay the track, insurance etc..

lol....i know exactly what you mean........Valvoline gives me alot of their products and apparels and the only thing they want from me through out the whole year is to have my car ready for HIN Miami next weekened to put in their booth which I hope they get another car so I can park with my team.......Dont get me wrong i love the attention but the show is not the same since you cant hang aound your team members.....But I am going to go ahead and call vision entertainment tomorrow and see what they can do for us (Miami) and I'll talk to one of my Team's sponsor (Berjams Auot Creations) to talk to Tanabe which he knows the main people in the company and Dunlop which he has done alot of work for on their cars.....But one thing is tru ter-tech we need numbers down here for pre-reg because after looking into it there is alot of money that has to get invested in first for an event to happen and then hope to recover it back.......

I also have a friend who has ties with Dunlop and is friends with Jason from Vision Entertainment. I will be going to the HIN pre party (in which that same friend is hosting) and will be meeting some of the big guys as well. I will also try to talk to them about holding events and seeing if I could also become a sponsor (MIC Turbo). I will also be at HIN since my car is registered.

...i recently found out that they are not answering anymore emails for car registraitions and that really sucks a$$. (not like my z is not worth showing...bastards) anyway... i have been slacking at most event by not even showing up...i blame work for that...but im down for this event whenever it is arragned....ill just make it a sick day...lol if i have to work.

Harri knows my #$%ed up schedule. anyway, my 240 will be down for a slide even if my z doesnt show up that day. (finally fixed my rear suspension issue...damn i feel dumb..lol)

i say you get the parking lot at metro zoo i know that they have done auto cross there

and dont feel to bad i couldent even get my vert into hin

Well I all ready gave them some good sites......The Horse/Dog racetrack in Hialeah where they have done autocross before, Dania jai alai, and Flea markets parking lots....

I heard a rumor that HIN has a process in getting into there shows now that you have to enter a preshow show or somthing like that. you have to send in a picture of your car and they will say if its good enough in putting into the show! i dont know if its true or not but thats just what I heard. It would be nice for the SFL guys to get some sponsors cuz I know theres alot of guys that are just itching to do some events down there.
