What got you into drifting?

:) Just wanted to hear all the stories of the inspiration to drift ^_^, im sure there will be true inspirational stories and some that kinda go like this "Yea i saw tokyo drift and was like #@^@% cool" lol. As for me

Ive been into cars since i was a little jit cuz of my dad, i got the inspiration to take this sport up because about a year ago i was in my new to me MKIII supra and got into a accident that totaled the car and my, the accident gave me short term memory loss but some serious cash lol, i went out and bought the car of my dreams a 95 240sx, always one of those cars that i wanted to buy but was outa my reach like a viper or such. Once i got lucky and got one after the accident i was like "Holy $h!t, now i can do this for real!!!" and decided to take it up, and now its all i can think of lol, my fiancee thinks i have a death wish but i told her that everyone dies and if i die doing this then at least ill go with a bang lol
 
shit a 240sx that runs without giving me problems and is reliable is totally my dream car right now

honestly, ive wanted a 240 since i was 12 and never thought i would be into drifting, i was always into road racing and autocross

but the first time i threw my car sideways, i went through 3 pairs of rear tires over the summer and went to my first event, and i just fell in love

unfortunatley everything went downhill once i spun a rod bearing like 6 months ago.... hopefully ill be back up and running soon
 
I just watched The Fast And The Furious: Tokyo Drift and was like WOW! I wanna do that. So yeah That's what got me into drifting lol

well i understand u wanted that car....but wud u buy it if u were rich??? i doubt it.....that wus my point its not a dream car then
 
I was out in the street races in japan and I went out with some other kids and they were all breakin sideways, I thought it was the coolest thing ever.
 
I got on kicked out of school after illegaly racing a dude in a viper w/ a hot girlfriend. My mom thought the only way to fix the problem was to send me over to my dad's place over in EDO(tokyo), i went to school for a day... Met an african american, who looked a lot like little bow wow. he showed me his cool ride, and i said "I am into cars too" . So, he took me to a hang out, once there i started flirting with the girl of a wannabe yakuza. (Yakusa: The Japanese KKK) He said "hey you GAIJIN, WE DORIFTO NOW", I said " I DONT HAVE DORITOS"... one thing led to the other, and i found myself behind the steering wheel of a weird nissan or datsun P.O.S, i guess japanese didnt know about V8's.... The race started and i was left in awe, when i saw my yakuza oponent going sideways into a turn. I clutch kicked and i hit a wall... Thats how i got into drifting.

i hope so dude, it sucks not having your car running i went like a month running on the busses. It feels like your naked in public lol

^^ u wud buy one but it wouldnt be ur dream car.....u would look at something a little more expensive lets be real
 
well me and shane (flyinfinn) use to fuck around in his suv on dirt roads..
then one day we went tto an event and i did a ride along in ericks car..
like a week later i got my first s13

now im on #6 lol
 
yeah if I had a bajillion dollars i'd have a mclaren F1 thats for sure, still to this day that is my favorite car in the world
