What is this whining noise?? Simple answer? lol

Ok sorry for the noob question, so I just bought a s13 with the ka24de, and when I start it up there is that really loud annoying whine sound, if I blip the throttle to like 3k it sometimes stops, sometimes doesn't. But it always goes away once I start moving.

Belts. Routine maintenence when you get a new car

-check/change fluids
-check/change belts
-check/change hoses
-check/change gaskets.

^^ do it all, its your best bet. Hope it helps

Another stupid question: how many belts does that involve? Just want to know what to ask for when I goto autozone lol.

Any guesses on what specific belt it would probably be making the noise? I can't really spend $60 on belts at the moment

well i just changed all my belts and im getting whinning noise from the belt that runs to the clutch fan....could just be the belts are a little loose

Im pretty sure its your belts make sure there tight and not dry
